GAC Technology Wins Highest Honor at Geneva Invention Exhibition
GAC Group has been awarded the “Gold Medal with the Congratulations of the Jury” at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, one of the world’s leading international invention exhibitions. The award recognized GAC’s advanced electric-drive technology, specifically its work on low-loss motor stator cores using ultra-thin amorphous materials. This innovation plays a key role in improving the efficiency of electric motors used in new energy vehicles. The technology has been applied in GAC’s Quark Electric Drive 2.0, which combines an amorphous alloy stator with a high-speed carbon-fiber rotor. The system is designed to reduce energy loss while improving motor efficiency and overall vehicle performance. According to certification by the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute, the Quark Electric Drive 2.0 motor achieved a peak efficiency of 99.03%, while the electric-drive system reached a CLTC efficiency of 94.184%. For customers, this improved efficiency can help increase driving range by approximately 30 to 50 km without increasing battery capacity. This recognition reflects GAC’s continued investment in advanced electrification technologies and its commitment to developing more efficient and innovative new energy vehicles.
